The gloom of the dark, rainy days of spring in Brussels was partially broken by a visit to the Royal Greenhouses. Every year for three weeks, the public has a chance to stroll the grounds and greenhouses built by King Leopold II. Below are a few pictures.
Apart from the rumour I’ve heard that Belgians cook really good chips, I’d never really considered visiting Belgium.
I now have a reason. Lovely photographs.

It’s only open to the public for 3 weeks out of the year…wow! Glad you take advantage of that; it’s beautiful.

There’s a whole area dedicated to the Congo that we didn’t see because it’s being redesigned. It was a fun few hours to walk through but can’t compare to the Keukenhof bulb gardens.
